Refurbishment of an old workshop
At the end of a small street along the cemetary of the suburb town of Les Lilas, this old workshop has been left intact for decades. A basic wooden structure supports the tilted roof letting the light in from above. The project tries carefully to keep the idendity of the original space, by preserving some material and objects from the workshop, that will be integrated in the living space. A new wooden structure will carry a garden roof from which it will be possible to enjoy the sunset and the distant views over the city. Inside, a new layout allows a generous partition between a big open living space, a master bedroom and an office space / guest room.
